#17 [Speechy TV] Is the iPad really a miracle cure for nonverbal kids?

You have probably seen it on TV – an iPad is given to someone who has never been offered another way of communicating, or has had to rely on a few picture cards to get their message across. Once they have an iPad – seemingly overnight they are able to speak!

Have you seen one of these documentaries? Have you wondered if an iPad could help your child communicate? Have you felt guilty because you haven’t tried one yet?

In this weeks episode, I share the real deal on what it takes for an iPad to be able to help your child communicate…

To find out more, watch this quick video in this week’s episode Speechy TV. Your Monday dose of speech therapy tips and inspiration for helping nonverbal children learn to communicate

What do you think? Have you tried this communication strategy with your child? Has it worked for you? Or have you got a different strategy that works for your child?

Let me know by leaving me a comment. Your comment may help another parent struggling to help their child communicate. I’ll read your comments and join in on the conversation.
